Torres Strait Real Estate is the first Real Estate agency to pioneer the Torres Strait. Specialising in the Torres Strait, the agency began trading in 2005 and now dominates the market, selling more property in the Torres Strait than any other agency.

The Torres Strait is a place of richly unique customs and cultures; a landscape like no other, with over 100 islands strung out between the northern tip of Queensland and Papua New Guinea, only 16 of which are inhabited. Surrounded by glittering waters, teaming with fish, crowned by coral cays and sandy beaches with no foot prints; why shouldn’t we think we’re not a part of the rest of the world? I mean how remote can you get?

The local language is Creole but most people also speak English. The population is around 80% Torres Strait Islanders a wonderful mixture of South Sea Islanders, Malay and Papua New Guineans. Not many tourists have discovered this truly remarkable and unique part of Australia with a culture like nowhere else on Earth.
